ECO.CAL BO 36 – Deoxygenator for Water-Vapor Systems

Description

ECO.CAL BO 36 it is a deoxygenating product formulated based on sodium sulfite with an incorporated catalyst, for the effective removal of dissolved oxygen in boiler systems and steam-water circuits. The product is authorized by the FDA for contact with steam used in the food industry.

The recommended dosage depends on the oxygen content in the feedwater and the boiler pressure, ranging between 27 and 30 ppm of product for each ppm of oxygen to be removed. A residual sulfite level must also be maintained according to the operating pressure, ensuring continuous protection against corrosion.

It should be applied continuously in feed or degassing tanks, always using demineralized or condensed water for dilution. Compatible with materials such as 316 stainless steel, PVC, PVDF, Teflon, and polyethylene. It has a pH of 8.0 to 9.0 and is completely soluble in water.
